What is it?
C-CARD is a confidential, free condom distribution scheme for young people living in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. The scheme aims to make condoms more accessible and gives young people support and information about sexual health and how to use a condom correctly. C-CARD enables and empowers young people to readily access support, advice and condoms from a number of different locations across the County.
How old do you have to be to have a C-CARD?
If you are aged between 13-25 years old you can register for a C-CARD. If you are aged 13-15 you will be required to undertake an assessment with a C-CARD trained worker and demonstrate that you are Fraser Competent. It is still illegal to have sex under the age of 16 however you are entitled to contraceptive advice and treatment.
Where can I get a C-CARD?
You can register for a C-CARD or collect your condom packs from any organisation that displays a C-CARD logo. There are over 200 organisations offering C-CARD across Cornwall.
