From May 1st 2015 the Bodmin / St Austell SHARE Clinical-led Contraceptive Clinics will close.

Cornwall Council continues to support young people’s access to a variety of contraception and sexual health services throughout the Cornwall, including a number of specific young people’s clinics.

To continue access to Sexual health and Contraceptive services in Bodmin and St Austell young people can still access the service listed below;

 

In the Bodmin area. These services include: 

  • RHCT Contraceptive Service at Bodmin Health Centre.
  • RCHT GU and HIV Service at Bodmin Hospital

       For further information or to book an appointment please call (01872) 255 044

  • Your local GP: GP surgeries offer a range of sexual health services and nearly all GP surgeries are able to offer long acting reversible contraception (implants, coils and diaphragms) alongside emergency contraception, pregnancy testing and infection testing and treatment. You can find out about local GP services via the NHS Choices website

 

  • C-Card points: Young people can access free condoms and sexual health advice wherever they see the C-Card logo. A updated list of C-Card points is available at C-CARD Organisations

 

  • Pharmacies: Pharmacies are able to give a range of rapid treatment and advice including Emergency Hormonal Contraception. This is free to under 25s.
